A resident of the complex heard a male scream “Help me” from the second floor balcony of apartment #18 and called 911. On Sunday, Decemat approximately 11:50 pm, Patrol Officers responded to Archer Woods Apartments, located at 3020 Archer Rd. Dyer was well known in the neighborhood and seen alive the night before.
Investigation reveled Dyer was killed during the night and left there by her assailant. Upon arrival, Dyer was located in the bedroom of a mobile home, where she lived and was already deceased. On Sunday, May 5 th, 2013 at approximately 1215 pm, Patrol Officers responded to 1628 SW 42 nd St in reference to a medical emergency. Adkins was last seen about a week before this discovery. The Medical Examiner determined that Adkins had been murdered by a gunshot to the head. Adkins partially decomposed body was discovered hidden under a tarp by one of the homeless residents of that area not far from Adkins campsite. This area was used by several “homeless” campers with tens and campsites set up in the woods. On Friday, December 6 th, 2013 at approximately 2:55 pm, Patrol Officers responded to the wooded area in the 3000 block of E. Brooks was likely murdered in the early morning hours of October 23 rd. Investigators learned that Brooks had arrived in Gainesville recently and had been hanging in the area of 1700 NE 8 th Ave since his arrival. Brooks’ death was a result of him being shot. On Tuesday, Octoat approximately 6:25pm the body of Michael Brooks was found in a vacant lot by children playing in the area.
